To whom it may concern,

We are a community of bloggers in Poland, co-working within the internet site www.niepoprawni.pl. We would like to give you a few crucial pieces of information about the coming parliamentary elections in Poland (October 9).

It may, of course, sound like a conspiracy theory, but we have a deep feeling that there is a danger of forgery during the elections or other illegal activities by the Polish government led by Donald Tusk, such as censoring internet, repressing the opposition and anti-government groups of citizens, provoking street riots and other kinds of violence. In our opinion the government has also prepared itself to carry out an operation of voiding the elections in case of victory by the opposition party Law and Justice (PiS).

This preparation was done by refusing to register all-country candidate lists of one of the parties, without any real cause: the party fulfilled all legal obligations for registering candidate lists in the whole country, but the officials worked to slow and didn’t verify all the documents in time. By this method, in which the fate of a political party is determined by how fast the officials work, it’s possible to repress any political party. This situation, however, makes it possible to void the elections, by filing an election protest, which is sure to be accepted.

It is also rumored that Donald Tusk government may resort to other methods of compromising the opposition party such as forging and publishing evidence about the Smoleńsk plane crash.

We firmly believe in the principles of democracy and we fear that they are being undermined by the current government. This fear does not come from any kind of anti-government fanaticism, but from our experience: in the past Donal Tusk government tried to censor the internet and resorted to violence against anti-government protesters: an internet user who designed a flash game making fun of the president Komorowski was arrested as a terrorist, sports fans who launched an anti-government poster campaign (criticising poor preparations for Euro2012 football cup) on sports stadiums all across the country, fell victim to a huge hatred campaign led by the mainstream media.

As a result, one of the leaders of football fans in Warsaw was arrested, beaten up and threatened during detention and now is in prison. He was actually the author of the funniest anti-government slogan.
